North Shore Premier Skate School

The USFS Program is a program designed for all individuals to try figure skating, learn the fundamentals, and take those skills to the next level whether it  be to continue as a recreational skater or develop into the competitive track. The choice is up to each individual.

Session 1 for the Fall Classes begins on September 6th.

Dance Classes

The North Shore Premier Skate School will be offering Dance and Pilates classes for figure skaters. Dance classes will improve a skaters grace, flexibility and dance moves on the ice, while Pilates classes will improve the overall strength of the skater.

Competitive Figure Skating

Stop by the North Shore Ice Arena and see nationally ranked figure skaters training with the NSIA staff including Debbie Stoery, Kori Ade,  Cindy Caprel and Maria Jezak-Athey.

Debbie Stoery has over 35 years of teaching. Debbie has coached students to qualify for over 30 World/Jr. World/Internationals, over 30 US National/Jr. Nationals and 26 Midwestern Sectionals—producing over 200 medalists from the Regionals, Sectionals and Nationals to the Junior Worlds (’82 & ’01), as well as thousands of top three placements in USFS non-qualifying competitions. Kori Ade has worked for 10 years in the Chicago area, coaching  students at 6 Junior National Championships. She is a PSA Senior Rated Freestyle Coach is an AFFA and F.A.S.T. Certified Off-ice Trainer, and is a National and International Coach and Choreographer. Click here to read more

Cindy Watson Caprel has been coaching for 39yrs. She has  coached National Medalists from Juvenile to Senior. Cindy is passionate for the sport of figure skating and loves to teach skaters who are energetic and hungry to learn. Click here to read more

Maria Jezak-Athey is a former Polish National Pairs Champion, competed on the ISU International circuit including at European Championships and qualified for the Olympics. Maria has 28 years of coaching experience and is currently training the 2008 US Junior Ladies National Champion. Click here to read more
